StatSeed is StatSheet's postseason projections for all of Division I, including the NCAA Tournament, National Invitation Tournament (NIT), College Basketball Invitational (CBI), and the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT). Read more about how StatSeed is calculated.

StatSheet projects Xavier to go to the NIT as a three seed. The Musketeers are #54 in the StatSheet StatRank with a 16-9 overall record and a 7-4 record in the A-10.

Over the last four games, Xavier picked up wins against Rhode Island and George Washington but also suffered losses to RPI #18 Temple and RPI #20 Memphis.

Xavier is not that good against top competition, with a 7-8 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 2-6 record against the RPI Top 50 and no record against AP ranked teams. While the Musketeers have two quality wins including RPI #46 St. Joseph's (PA) and RPI #27 Vanderbilt, they're also dinged with a bad loss to RPI #194 Hawaii.

The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Kansas State (17-8, 6-7 Big 12, StatRank #60), South Florida (15-10, 8-4 Big East, StatRank #58), Purdue (16-9, 6-6 Big Ten, StatRank #53), and Ole Miss (15-9, 5-5 SEC, StatRank #52).

The first four teams out are Arkansas (17-8, 5-5 SEC, StatRank #60), LSU (15-10, 5-6 SEC, StatRank #80), Minnesota (17-9, 5-8 Big Ten, StatRank #72), and Washington (17-8, 10-3 Pac 12, StatRank #71).

The next four out are Brigham Young (21-6, 9-3 West Coast, StatRank #49), Colorado (17-8, 9-4 Pac 12, StatRank #71), Oregon (18-7, 9-4 Pac 12, StatRank #69), and St. Joseph's (PA) (16-10, 6-5 A-10, StatRank #46).
